2V Ranch is offering exclusive, first class elk and mule deer hunting on 12,000 continuous private acres adjoining an additional 12,000 acres of mostly inaccessible Federal land abutting the Utah State line.  2V Ranch is entirely within the Colorado Division of Wildlife's Big Game Hunting Unit #40, located in Mesa County, west of Grand Junction, Colorado.  The elevations range from 7000' to 9300'.  The topography consists of mountain top land with gently sloping mesas and basins with abundant water from springs and small streams.  The streams drop into canyons which provide excellent wildlife habitat. The vegetation ranges from pinyon and juniper in the lower canyons and mesas up through oak brush interspersed with aspen groves and open sagebrush parks.  There are occasional spruce and aspen pockets.  The majority of the country is easily accessible and can be hunted with minimum difficulty.  All hunting is done on foot; transportation around the hunting areas is by 4x4 vehicles.

Wildlife are the preferred consideration in the goals of 2V Ranch.  Livestock are being used as a tool to develop the potential for the increase of both the numbers and the diversity of wildlife.  Deer and elk are important herbivores in the wildlife community.  It appears that where livestock activity is high so is the numbers of these big game animals. 

Hunting is done in a quiet, sportsmanlike manner and is assisted by professional guides.
